Just several days before the official debut the previous week, Volvo has let pass a number of photos that looks like their new small car concept. 18 May they were to show off their new CMA (Compact Modular Architecture).

So what's new?

There's a brand new compact platform coming up featuring three- and four-cylinder engines. It has been co-developed with Chinese Geely. The V40 is meant to replace Volkswagen's Golf and XC40 is ready to extend Volvo's SUV credentials in the field of compact crosovers. It is expected to hit the sales at 2017.

First sneak peek of small Volvos: shown via snapchat.

Why they did this? The answer is pretty simple. The Swedes are oriented on younger buyers for these smallest car models.
