The Slowest Panamera yet the Most Eco-Friendly One

To make it clear: «the slowest» refers to Panamera line itself so don’t be confused. The figures of this car are still impressive. Let’s go through it point by point, though.

The fewer days are left until the Paris Motor Show, the more exciting news we have. For this time it’s a polished plug-in Porsche Panamera 4 E-Hybrid - a fourth model of the brand’s new generation. It appears to be a four-door vehicle that combines the features of a sports car and some elements of a comfortable sedan designed for long-distance trips.

Just like its brothers (4S, Turbo and 4S Diesel) the hybrid is longer and broader than before. It’s now 5049mm long and 1937mm wide while the weight is reduced. Despite the bigger size, this one can hit 60mph in 4.6 seconds, on its way to a 173mph top speed. Besides, you have the opportunity to accelerate up to 86mph in EV mode. Obviously, these characteristics seem to be rather modest among the new range of Panamera but they are truly amazing for the modern hybrids.

What’s under the hood? It uses a 269bhp petrol engine mated to a twin-clutch PDK gearbox, plus a 136bhp electric motor which can be recharged by plugging it into an electrical outlet for nearly 4 hours. Add the 56g/km CO2 emissions, 113mpg fuel economy and 30 miles of driving on electricity alone. This is how you get «the greenest» Porsche ever built.

This is a fast, beautiful and environmentally friendly hybrid. Oh, we forgot to mention, it’s the cheapest one as well. The price tag is set at around €94000. Do you have a soft spot for that Panamera now?
