Another BMW sport utility vehicle is on the way: The X2
With the rising popularity of SUVs in the global automobile market, BMW looks set to continue its foray with an addition to the ‘Sports Activity Coupés’ in their catalogue. Beginning with the X6 in 2009, and followed by the X4 in 2014, this crossover clan will soon have a slightly smaller sibling.
If the X1 is anything to go by, this may well be a front wheel drive vehicle, with a similar interior to boot. It differs slightly from the even numbered X series BMWs already in production, as the prototype model spotted on the road possessed an unusually upright rear windscreen.
It’s still anyone’s guess exactly how and when this model will turn out, but it’s bound to get some attention when it does.
